Valves, wellhead seals, or other related equipment, are not included in the scope of this document. The procedures are presented in two parts: Part I represents conditions in an onshore or open offshore location and Part II represents conditions in an offshore platform well bay. Background information on fire-resistance of API end connections is contained in API Bulletin 6F1. Further background on fire-resistance improvements of API flanges is contained in API Bulletin 6F2. This specification covers API Spec 6A end connections, which include: a. API Flanged End and Outlet Connections (6B, 6BX, and Segmented); b. API Threaded End and Outlet Connections; and, c. Other End Connections (OECs).
