The purpose of this technical report is for recommended testing, evaluation, and performance requirements for mechanical cement wiper plugs. Mechanical cementing wiper plugs are used in most application including casing, liners, drill pipe, and tubing for primary and remedial cementing operations where they serve multiple functions in well operations, such as the following: separation of fluids inside of pipe, wiping of materials from the inner surface of pipe, operation of a downhole tool, surface indication of a downhole event, and formation of a temporary pressure barrier.
