This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1998. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: - removal of "bounce time" from the title; - update and alignment of definitions with IEC 60876-1; - generalization of the detection apparatus beyond an oscilloscope.
