[中文适用范围]： 本文件系统性描述了生物识别领域中涉及识别人类的相关概念。 该文件还协调现有国际标准中的变体术语与首选术语，从而澄清了该领域的术语使用。 本文件不包括来自信息技术、模式识别、生物学、数学等领域的概念（表示为术语）。 生物识别以这些学科为基础。 原则上，特定模式的术语超出了本文件的范围。 [外文原描述]： This document establishes a systematic description of the concepts in the field of biometrics pertaining to recognition of human beings. This document also reconciles variant terms in use in pre-existing International Standards on biometrics against the preferred terms, thereby clarifying the use of terms in this field. This document does not cover concepts (represented by terms) from information technology, pattern recognition, biology, mathematics, etc. Biometrics uses such fields of knowledge as a basis. In principle, mode-specific terms are outside of scope of this document.
